This pattern was inspired by the beautiful art of Alan Lee, and from  watching the Lord of the Rings films.  The angular motifs on the columns, and the deconstructed hexagonal shapes that characterize the architecture is translate from flat, hard textures into the beautiful, knitted fabric.
